Our Story

We trace our roots back to Canton First Free Methodist Church founded in 1908.
In late 1979, four couples from CFFM felt compelled to plant a new church in the Jackson Twp. area.
On January 20, 1980 a group held their first gathering in Jean and Arnie Fritz’ basement (just around the corner from our current location) with 22 in attendance. They called themselves Jackson Township Free Methodist Church.
This group of Jesus followers purchased a house on Hills and Dales Road in the fall of 1980. During this period the name of the church was changed to Hills and Dales Free Methodist Church.
In 1983, a new worship center was added (current lobby).
In 2007, the name was changed from Hills and Dales Free Methodist to LifeHope Community Church.
On May 26, 2008, LifeHope Community Church merged with Canton First Free Methodist.
On February 6, 2011 the construction of a new worship center was completed.
On September 25, 2022, LifeHope Community Church became Team Jesus Church.

Team Jesus Church is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church of North America.
